TITAN CMS - Upload Content

Upload Content saves time and energy on updating SEO properties by adding SEO in a spreadsheet and upload at once!  The Page URL is required in excel for upload.

*Changes in v6.9 allow to change Page URL by adding New URL column in the SEO downloaded file.

Overview

Upload Content saves time and energy on updating SEO properties by adding SEO in a spreadsheet and upload at once!  The Page URL is required in excel for upload.

Steps
  1. Select area of items that are planned to be updated ie.from Pages, Events or Files.
  2. Select to include children if desired.
  3. Select the browse view SEO Properties.
  4. Download Excel and save, use this file to enter SEO inputs.

  1. At section of where you downloaded file, select Upload Content.
  2. The Content Upload dialog will display.
    1. Browse to find file.  *File must have the Titan URL for each item.  There are different requirements for Data Upload.
    2. Parent Folder shows section where upload will occur.
    3. There will be a List of records with inputs to upload.
    4. Upload Options to select for Upload.  *There are Different options for the Data Upload.
      1. Skip Workflow
      2. Complete Workflow Immediately
      3. Publish Immediately
      4. Hide Missing Items
      5. Test Only is available to use to view results before actual Upload.
    5. Click the Upload button to process the upload.

You may now change the Page URL by adding a New URL column to the downloaded file.  

 

Information to consider:

Content Upload Dialog Screen

  • Auto Checked Skip Workflow – Upload with New URL, the change does not create a URL Alias of old URL (published right away or save stat
  • Auto Checked Skip Workflow – Upload with New URL, the change does not create a URL Alias of old URL, but does retain previous URL Aliases on record (publish right away or save state).
  • Uncheck Skip Workflow – Upload New URL the change does retain the old URL as the URL Alias but the URL Alias is only viewable after publish. If workflow configured and publish not selected yet, upload results in a Save state and the URL Alias is not listed yet. Publish the uploaded changes and the URL Alias will show up.
  • Manual Uncheck the Skip Workflow – Upload New URL the change does retain the old URL as the URL Alias and also retains any other previous URL Aliases on record.

 

Duplicate URLS

  • If the Upload file’s New URL exists in Titan as another Page URL, File URL or Data Item URL, the Content Upload will result with an advisory message of “Failed: Duplicate URLS exist”
  • If the Upload file’s New URL exists in Titan as a URL Alias, the Content Upload will result with an advisory message of “Failed: Duplicate URLS exist”

 

Successful Message when no input in New URL

  • If the Upload File includes a New URL column but no input in columnd, the process results with successful message but actually no changes occur.

 

Possible area to be aware of

  • Reminder to check the “Include Children” when downloading file & uploading file to impact “all” items desired to be changed.
  • Uploading New URL as the same value as the Page URL will result as Successful process but really no changes occurred.

Log in to the workstation:

  1. Enter your TitanCMS URL in a browser address bar.  The Titan log in will display.
  2. Enter your User Name in the User Name field.
  3. Enter your Password in the Password field.
  4. Click Log In.  The TitanCMS application will open to the Web Content Management Module.

Find an existing item in the Nav Tree: 

  1. To expand the node in the tree, use the "+" 
  2. To minimize the node in the tree, use the "-"  
  3. To select the item to work with,  click on the item in the tree.  The item will become highlighted & the item and it's children will appear in the Browse Screen.
