An overview of the Edit Tabs in the Web Cotnent Management module.
The Edit Tabs are located between the left CMS Nav Tree and the Content Edit pane. Your user preference level setting will determine which edit tabs will be accessible. Sticky Tabs are in place for some of the edit tabs to assist in updating content in an efficient manner.
The Results section allows you to search, view different details, jump, edit and multi-edit a list of pages, files or events.
The Content on the edit tab is different for pages, events and files. A pages content section is where you add and work with blocks to form your content. A files content allows for editing the item or uploading a new version. A events content is the area to add the details of the event along with date and time.
The Properties of an item are accessed from the edit tab. Each item has it's own properties. Content pages, files and events have the same parameters except for Page URL and Page Layout.
Workflow defines the approval and notification flow prior to publishing a page. It can be one-step to four-step. When a page is created, updated or deleted, it is assigned a workflow type. Authors create pages and Editors approve them.
Display Security allows you to set pages, files and events on your website to display only for certain users. To secure a complete site, remove the everyone group. Users will be prompted for an id and password. Security may also be used to display only certain pages, files, events and data within the Extranet or Intranet to certain users and groups.
Tags are used for organizing your pages, files and events into related terms. The tag values may be used in a filter list. This filter will assist your users in viewing pages on the website.
Commenting allows you to process any Comments & Ratings for that specific item.
The Version History allows you to preview a past version of the document and set it to be active again.
The Notes section allows you to track information regarding the page such as changes and updates. It is saved every time you save the page.
The Statistics section displays user visit statistics for the website page. Audit should be checked for a page's properties.
The Session Edit History displays the history of the current editing session you are working on for the page.
