TITAN CMS - Properties

End Date

The End Date determines the period of time when an approved page will stop displaying on the website.

The End Date determines the period of time when an approved page will stop displaying on the website.

In versions 5.7 and before, when the active version expires, a previous version could become active if that previous version has an End Date that were still valid.  Always check the History Tab to see if there is an Active version on an older version.  Deleting the older versions prior to expiration would have prevented this.  In 5.8 and beyond, a previous version cannot become active.

Start Date and End Date always represent 12:00 AM on the date specified.  The only way an item becomes “Expired” is for it to reach its End Date.  The nightly activation task would need to run.

If changes are attempted to properties for an expired page, the End date field will display message in red  "Date must be a future date" and save will not be allowed.  The exception to this is checking to Hide the page, this will be allowed.

  1. Select the Properties Icon (left) from the Edit Tab.  The End Date will be listed under the General Properties section.
  2. Enter a new date in the end date field, or use calendar to select a date, if you desire to change date.  *The system default for end date is 12/31/2099 at the time the new page is added.
  3. Click the Save or Publish from the Page Action Bar to retain changes.
