TITAN CMS - Add Event

*Use Data, Events removed.

*The Data List block with a Calendar filter may now be built instead of the Calendar block.  Use Data Site instead of Event database.  In Data Schema, include the column Input for Date and Time with Recurrence

Prior to Data, Events & Calendar were used.


Events are used in the Calendar Block on your website.  Events may be added through the TitanCMS workstation and through the Event Upload Block.



  1. Select the Event database from the CMS Nav Tree where the new Event will be stored.
  2. Click the New Icon (left) in the Page Action Bar.  The Create New Document window will display with default of new event selected.
  3. Enter a Name for your new event.
  4. Click Submit or Cancel to start over.
  5. The New Event will be ready for you to add the Content details to it.
  6. Click Content from the Edit tab.
  7. You may update the Event Name or leave the Name the same as when the New Event was created.
  8. Add the Event Description using the WYSIWYG options.  
  9. Add Attachment by clicking Browse to access them.
  10. Add a Start Date
  11. Add a End Date
  12. Add a Start Time
  13. Add a End Time
  14. Check the box if Event is All Day, leave box empty if not.
  15. Enter the Location of the Event
  16. Enter the Sponsor of the Event
  17. Enter a Contact Name
  18. Enter 1 more more Contact Email Addresses, use comma to separate.
  19. Click on the Save or Publish/Approve to retain your new event.

Prerequisite Steps

Log in to the workstation:

  1. Enter your TitanCMS URL in a browser address bar.
  2. The Titan Login screen will appear.
  3. Enter your User Name in the User Name field.
  4. Enter your Password in the Password field.
  5. Click Log In.  The TitanCMS application should open to the Titan Web Content Management Module.

Select placement for new item in the Nav Tree: 

  1. To expand the node in the tree, use the "+" 
  2. To minimize the node in the tree, use the "-"  
  3. To select the placement for a new item, click on a item in the tree.  The item will become highlighted.  (The new item will become a child of the highlighted item).
