Overview

The What's New Block is used to callout the pages, files or events that are flagged as being "What's New" on your website.  Simply set your page as What's New until a specific date and the TitanCMS will automatically generate the date appropriate list of linked items, with no need to manually retire content.

Steps
  1. Click the dropdown for Add New Block.
  2. Select the What's New block, the What's New editor will display.
  3. Configure your What's New block:
    1. Select the Root for where the What's New will pull the page(s) from.
    2. Set up the What's New Display:
      1. Enter a Title if you desire a title to display.
      2. Select the Style:(system default)
      3. Select the Teaser Text:
        1. Short
        2. Long
        3. None (default value)
      4. Images - check if Teaser Image should display.
      5. Links - make selection for links.
        1. Page Name is checked as default.  Uncheck if this should not be included in display
        2. Link Text - Check and add name for the Link if desired.
      6. Number of Views - check if count should display in the What's New. * Audit needs to be turned on for each page that you'd like to keep a count for the times any user accesses page.
      7. Commenting & Ratings - check the following options you would like to display in the What's New.
        1. Show Average Rating
        2. Include Total Rating
        3. Link to Read Comments
        4. Field to enter Text for Link
        5. Include Total Comments
        6. Link to Add Comment/Rating
        7. Field to enter Text for Link
      8. Date and Format - check and provide format if date should display in the What's New. 
  4. Click OK to cancel, or Cancel.
  5. Click Save or Publish from the Page Action Bar to retain changes.

Prerequisite Steps
 

Log in to the workstation:

  1. Enter your TitanCMS URL in a browser address bar.  The Titan log in will display.
  2. Enter your User Name in the User Name field.
  3. Enter your Password in the Password field.
  4. Click Log In.  The TitanCMS application will open to the Web Content Management Module.

Find an existing item in the Nav Tree: 

  1. To expand the node in the tree, use the "+" 
  2. To minimize the node in the tree, use the "-"  
  3. To select the item to work with,  click on the item in the tree.  The item will become highlighted & the item and it's children will appear in the Browse Screen.

Access the Content Edit Tab

  1. Access the content editing pane by either clicking on the "edit" link from the browse screen listing, or by adding a checkmark in the box in front of your page in the browse screen and clicking on the Content Edit Tab.
