TITAN CMS - Use Data with Calendar Filter for prior Calendar Block

*Calendar Block has been removed

*The Data List block with a Calendar filter may now be built instead of the Calendar block.  Use Data Site instead of Event database.  In Data Schema, include the column Input for Date and Time with Recurrence

Prior to Data, Events & Calendar were used.

Overview

The Calendar Block is used to display Events on the website.  A calendar image or a list similar to the What's New block may be used.

Steps
  1. Select the drop down for Add New Block.
  2. Select the Calendar block, Calendar editor will load.
  3. Configure your Calendar block:
  4. Select One or More Sources:
    1. Check one or more sources from the Left Nav Tree.
  5. Set Optional Filters:
    1. Display the What's New active items only.
    2. Display only items published in the last ____ days.
    3. Display only ____ items.
  6. Configure Calendar Options:
    1. Select to Enable Calendar Filtering if desired.
    2. Select the "No Calendar" option if a What's New display is desired.
    3. Select radio button for Default Date Range (Day, Week, Month, Year)
    4. Check if the Year option should display.  *Required to be checked in order to select as default date range.
  7. Filter Your Results Using Tags:
    1. Select a Tag.  *The options will display.
      1. Do not use.
      2. Server.  *The attribute will display only.
      3. Display and Server.  *Selected attributes will display in order determined by drop down selection.
    2. Select Display As: Checkbox Static, Dropdown, Links or Dynamic Checkbox.
    3. Check if Limit results to items with assigned attributes.
    4. Apply User Tag setting is used with the Registration block.
  8. Filter Your Results by Keyword:
    1. Enter a Keyword in field to pre-define a Keyword if desired.
    2. Check the Permit Keyword Filtering on display.
  9. Configure Your Filter Display:
    1. Enter a Filter Area Title.
    2. Select a Filter Area Page Zone to display in from the drop down.
    3. Set Adv. Tag Options:  *Required Links or Dynamic Checkbox.
    4. Check if you desire to Collapse Tag to only selected attributes.
    5. Check if you desire to Remove Attributes and Tags that no longer apply.
    6. Enter a number for limiting list if a See More or See Less link should display.
  10. Configure Your Results Display:
    1. Select s Style option from the drop down.
    2. Enter a Block Title.
  11. Configure Your Event Listing Display:  *Check options that should displays.
    1. Attachment
    2. Display Start Date, and format to use.
    3. Display End Date, and format to use.
    4. Display Start Time
    5. Display End Time
    6. Display Location
    7. Display Sponsor
    8. Contact Name
    9. Contact Email
    10. Custom Field 1- 5
    11. Select if Teaser Text , Long or Short should display.
    12. Select if Teaser Image should display.
    13. Select if Page Name should function as a link.
    14. Check if the Read More link, or enter different text, should display.
    15. Check if Title Date should display and format.
    16. Select the Sort Order:
      1. Alphabetical by Name
      2. Order Event Date and Time
      3. Group by Event Date
    17. Configure which Comments & Rating options should display:
      1. Show Average Rating
      2. Include Total Rating
      3. Link to Read Comments.  *Title may be changed.
      4. Include Total Comments.
      5. Link to Add Comment & Rating.  *Title may be changed.
  12. Configure the fields to display for Single Event detail:
    1. Attachment
    2. Display Start Date, and format to use.
    3. Display End Date, and format to use.
    4. Display Start Time
    5. Display End Time
    6. Display Location
    7. Display Sponsor
    8. Display Name
    9. Display Email
    10. Display Custom Fields 1- 5
    11. Select if Teaser Text, Long or Short, should display
    12. Select if Teaser Image should display
    13. Select if Return Link should display and enter text if different Link title
  13. Select OK to retain, or Cancel.
  14. Click Save or Publish from the Page Action Bar to retain.

Prerequisite Steps
 

Log in to the workstation:

  1. Enter your TitanCMS URL in a browser address bar.  The Titan log in will display.
  2. Enter your User Name in the User Name field.
  3. Enter your Password in the Password field.
  4. Click Log In.  The TitanCMS application will open to the Web Content Management Module.

Find an existing item in the Nav Tree: 

  1. To expand the node in the tree, use the "+" 
  2. To minimize the node in the tree, use the "-"  
  3. To select the item to work with,  click on the item in the tree.  The item will become highlighted & the item and it's children will appear in the Browse Screen.

Access the Content Edit Tab

  1. Access the content editing pane by either clicking on the "edit" link from the browse screen listing, or by adding a checkmark in the box in front of your page in the browse screen and clicking on the Content Edit Tab.
