TITAN CMS - Add Product Category/Folder

*Use Data, Products removed.

*The Data List & Data Detail blocks may now be built instead of the Product block.  Use Data Schema & Data Site instead of the Product database.

Prior to Data, Products were used.


Product Folders/Categories are used in the Product Block to organize products.  The folder/category title may also be used as part of the navigation to search and access the product.


  1. Select the Product Database from the CMS Nav Tree where the new folder/category should be added.
  2. Click the New Icon (left) in the Page Action Bar.  The Create New Document window will display with default of new product selected.
  3. Select radio button for New Folder.
  4. Enter a Name for your new folder/category.
  5. Click Submit or Cancel to start over.
  6. Configure Properties if desired
  7. Configure Workflow if desired.
  8. Configure Security if desired.
  9. Configure Tags if desired.
  10. Click Save or Publish from the Page Action Bar to retain changes.

Prerequisite Steps

Log in to the workstation:

  1. Enter your TitanCMS URL in a browser address bar.
  2. The Titan Login screen will appear.
  3. Enter your User Name in the User Name field.
  4. Enter your Password in the Password field.
  5. Click Log In.  The TitanCMS application should open to the Titan Web Content Management Module.

Select placement for new item in the Nav Tree: 

  1. To expand the node in the tree, use the "+" 
  2. To minimize the node in the tree, use the "-"  
  3. To select the placement for a new item, click on a item in the tree.  The item will become highlighted.  (The new item will become a child of the highlighted item).
