TITAN CMS - Search String Matching

How dtSearch treats a user's search string is configurable. You may declare that dtSearch must match all of the words that the user provided, any of the words that the user provides, or that dtSearch should assume that words such as 'and' and 'or' are Boolean connectors.

Overview

As of v6.8 Search Indexes have been moved into the new Smart Search module under the Admin section.   How dtSearch treats a user's search string is configurable. You may declare that dtSearch must match all of the words that the user provided, any of the words that the user provides, or that dtSearch should assume that words such as 'and' and 'or' are Boolean connectors.

Steps (v6.8 and future versions)

  1. Select the Smart Search module.
  2. Select Index.
  3. Select Admin.
  4. Scroll to Search String Matching on right and select one from the following:
    1. Must Match All Words
    2. Matches Any Words
    3. Interprets Boolean Words
  5. Click Save from the Page Action Bar to retain changes, or continue.
  6. After Save, click Refresh Site State.
Steps (v6.7 and prior versions)

  1. Select the Titan Administration module.
  2. Expand the Search Indexes.
  3. Click on the sub task.
  4. Scroll to Search String Matching and select one from the following:
    1. Must Match All Words
    2. Matches Any Words
    3. Interprets Boolean Words
  5. Click Save from the Page Action Bar to retain changes, or continue.
  6. After Save, click Refresh Site State.
Prerequisite Steps
 

Log in to the workstation:

  1. Enter your TitanCMS URL in a browser address bar.
  2. The Titan Login screen will appear.
  3. Enter your User Name in the User Name field.
  4. Enter your Password in the Password field.
  5. Click Log In.  The TitanCMS application should open to the Titan Web Content Management Module.
