TITAN CMS - Fuzzy Searching

Fuzzy searching can be useful when you are searching text that may contain typographical errors, or for text that has been scanned using optical character recognition.  When configuring the Fuzzy Searching, it is not recommended to use a setting greater than 4.

Overview

As of v6.8 Search Indexes have been moved into the new Smart Search module under the Admin section.   Fuzzy searching can be useful when you are searching text that may contain typographical errors, or for text that has been scanned using optical character recognition.  When configuring the Fuzzy Searching, it is not recommended to use a setting greater than 4.

Steps (v6.8 and future versions)

  1. Select the Smart Search module.
  2. Select Index.
  3. Select Admin.
  4. Scroll to Fuzzy Searching on right  Select from drop down.
  5. Click Save from the Page Action Bar to retain changes, or continue.
  6. After Save, click Refresh Site State.
Steps (v6.7 and prior versions)

  1. Select the Titan Administration module.
  2. Expand the Search Indexes.
  3. Click on the sub task.
  4. Scroll to Fuzzy Searching.  Select from drop down.
  5. Click Save from the Page Action Bar to retain changes, or continue.
  6. After Save, click Refresh Site State.
Prerequisite Steps
 

Log in to the workstation:

  1. Enter your TitanCMS URL in a browser address bar.
  2. The Titan Login screen will appear.
  3. Enter your User Name in the User Name field.
  4. Enter your Password in the Password field.
  5. Click Log In.  The TitanCMS application should open to the Titan Web Content Management Module.
