Overview

Indicates Navigation Caching behavior for the site.

Steps
  1. Select the Titan Administration module.
  2. Click + for Content Sites in left navigation tree.
  3. Click your Content Site Globe.  *The right pane details for the content site globe will display.
  4. Scroll to Navigation Caching.
  5. Select one of the following:
    1. None
    2. Public
    3. Private
    4. Private with Refresh
  6. Additional Information regarding values:
    1. None indicates no caching of the nav will occur. The nav is extracted from the database with every page request for every user. This is useful for sites that change frequently that have small navs. It is also useful during site development.
    2. Public indicates that caching of the nav will occur at start up and will be modified only after a RefreshNav or RefreshAppVars event. This option is useful for public without any user login as every user will view the same nav.
    3. Private indicates that the caching of the nav will occur when a user logs into the site. The nav will not be modified until the next time the user logs in. This option is useful for Intranets that do not change frequently; this option should not be used for public sites as a copy of the nav will exist for every user of the system
    4. Private with Refresh indicates that the caching of the nav will occur when a user logs in and will be updated after a RefreshNav or RefreshAppVars event. This caching level is slightly more expensive than Private caching, but the differences would only be visible on sites with high numbers of simultaneous users. This option should not be used for public sites.
  7. Click Save from the Page Action Bar to retain changes.
  8. Click Refresh Site State.
