TITAN CMS - Metadata Search

Overview

Metadata provides context for data; data about data.  Search engine results is the listing of web pages returned by the search engine in response to a keyword query.   Major search engines primarily use content contained in the Metatag Keyword of the web page.  When adding new metadata, run the Titan Administration Scheduled Job dtSearch Index.

Steps
  1. Select and click edit for the Properties Edit tab of your item.
  2. Scroll to the Search Engine Information section.
  3. Enter keywords in the Metatag Keywords (separated by commas) field, to assist in the search to find your item.
  4. Enter a Metatag Description to assist in the search to find your item.
  5. Other fields to assist in finding your item, Page Name and Title.
  6. Click Save or Publish from the Page Action Bar.  *Metadata Search is usually used by sites that have 100 pages or less.  For sites with more pages, dtSearch may be purchased and installed also.
Prerequisite Steps
 

Log in to the workstation:

  1. Enter your TitanCMS URL in a browser address bar.
  2. The Titan Login screen will appear.
  3. Enter your User Name in the User Name field.
  4. Enter your Password in the Password field.
  5. Click Log In.  The TitanCMS application should open to the Titan Web Content Management Module.
